When it comes to buying ice cream it can be hard to settle on just one flavour – especially when you’re buying for the whole family during a grocery shop.

That’s why it’s no surprise a Family Favourites variety pack released by Peters in Aldi last month has attracted a cult following among shoppers.

Priced at $19.99 the box contains a range of ice cream favourites including four vanilla Drumsticks, four Icy Poles, four Connoisseur ice creams and – most excitingly of all – four Milo Scoop Shake ice creams.

Aldi shopper @shereenchadoud shared the ice cream box on TikTok in a video that’s since been viewed more than 156,000 times.

“Next time you go to Aldi don’t forget to buy this family favourites ice cream box,” she captioned the video.

Shereen’s video got more than 500 comments from shoppers keen to get their hands on it, especially the Milo Scoop Shake cups which are notoriously hard to get.

“Would just get it for the Milo cups,” one shopper commented.

“How did I not know this existed,” one person wrote.

Others said it was “so cheap” and “worth it” for the price, especially for families – as long as you had the room for it.

“Great in theory but my freezer is too small,” one customer lamented.

But shoppers who are keen on the Peters ice cream box should get in quick – it’s only available at Aldi for a limited time.

Shoppers ‘gutted’ by Aldi dessert removal

Earlier this week disgruntled shoppers took to Facebook to complain about the German supermarket no longer stocking Urban Eats mini churros and Sweet Haven mini doughnuts.

Both items had been available for a limited time only, but long enough that they had developed a cult following among Aldi customers.

One shopper revealed in the Aldi Mums Facebook group the desserts have been “deleted” from stores, with the supermarket known for marking limited edition products with a “D” when they won’t be restocked.

“I am absolutely gutted,” the Victorian woman wrote. “These were such a great treat for the family.”

Her post attracted more than 100 comments from shoppers who were equally upset by the news.

“This is what annoys me about Aldi,” one person wrote. “You buy things you like, then go back and they are gone and they aren’t even a Special Buy.”
