Abby meets with the girls. She isn’t impressed with their win and wants to get them on top. They have a lot of work to do. She calls out each girl and tells them what they did wrong. Abby doesn’t hold back with the moms getting angry and offended. She wants them to be ready for Sheer Talent in Fresno. They never win there.
The girls will do 3 duets and a group routine. When Lily’s name is called for a duet her mom is upset. Abby shuts her down. The group dance will be about the movie The Help. Its socialites and maids. Holly is offended. Abby wants to convey that everyone is equal with an emotional piece. Jill feels like her daughter was typecast in her role. The dance routine gets the moms talking about segregation. Tempers and emotions start to flare up. The dance is making them all nervous.
Maesi and Elleana show their routine. Their mothers get into a fight because the two are dancing together. Brynn and Camryn dance next with Abby asking them if they can pull it off as a team. Kalani and Kendall are up. Their dance is a tale of two women in love with the same boy. They both want to win his heart. Jill hopes that the two girls stay on their dance streak. A fight breaks out between the moms over who will win.
Holly thinks that Abby is failing at being sensitive towards the group dance that is about the movie The Help. The moms start talking about racism. Jill would have never guessed that Holly has ever been discriminated against. She doesn’t think that a lot of people are racist.
The next day…the girls have a quick practice before heading to Fresno.
In Fresno, the moms begin fighting again. Abby has had it. She gets up and leaves the room. Abby pulls the numbers. She’s going to give the moms a rude awakening after her incarceration was mentioned with one mom laughing behind her back.
Everyone is mad at Yolanda for running Abby off. The competition begins. The moms sit in the front while Abby sits in the back. The moms discover that she canceled the group dance but not the duets. The show goes on. K & K go first and steal the show! Their routine was excellent. Brynn and Camryn compete next. They did a great job too.
Elliana is mad that her mom made Abby upset. Yolanda tries to apologize to the girls and Abby. But Abby doesn’t care. Abby returns to the team room and gets the girls ready for their group routine. They are going on. They dress in their costumes. The girls were thrilled over their performance.
K & K win second place while Camryn and Brynn win 1st place! Abby isn’t happy about K & K. Good Help also wins 1st place. Abby has broken her Fresno curse. All the girls are happy as well as Abby. When Devianna’s mom wants to know if she is on the team, Abby says no. The fights begin again.
