Over the past few months a number of celebrity couples have broken up Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Sherzinger, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards. However the biggest celebrity couple to split has to be Kermit and Miss Piggy.
The couple announced their split on ABC panel for TV critics on Tuesday. However Kermit has already bounced back and has started to date yet another pig who works in marketing with ABC called Denise.
Kermit released a tweet cementing the rumours that the two have broken up and Miss Piggy released this note to the public:
‘After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, we have made the difficult decision to terminate our relationship.’
There has been a big reaction on twitter to the end of this love story. Most are heartbroken that the couple no one thought would split have now gone their separate ways.
The couple have appeared alongside one another since 1976, finally ending 39 years later. They did have a good run of it but it seems that the days of the muppet power couple is officially over.
