Released today, Leon Seti has dropped his new single “Japan”. It is an ode to his mother who suffered a number of health-related issues during quarantine in Italy this year and the lyrics of this song are relatable to so many during this tough time. This follows up Leon Seti’s single “Hell”, and the remix version which features Maestro.
Leon Seti is an electronic project from Leo Baldi, who writes, records and produces all his own work. His progressive experimental electronic sound has gone on to be played by BBC Introducing and Billboard Italia. His debut album, COBALT, even hit number one on the iTunes Electronic Chart in Italy. He’s certainly one to watch in the coming years, especially if this song is anything to go by.
“Japan” has been written by Leon Seti, himself, and he co-produced the track alongside Pancratio.
Talking about the track, Leon Seti said, “I wrote ‘Japan’ to escape a world that was overwhelming. It was here where I found a way to really take these pains, these metaphors and turn them into a beautiful, uplifting pop track with real optimism running deep within.”
Head of A&R at A&R Factory, Stefan Toran, added, “Leon Seti has an incredible ear for crafting these existentially fulfilling melodies he’s got a strong sense of artistic sensibility and I’m sure he’s going to attract thousands more fans with ‘Japan’.”

Relatable to many during this year, Leon Seti has used his feelings and emotions for this awesome track with the lyrics touching all our hearts. His vocals are on-point throughout with a hint of falsetto to drive the message of the track home. The addicting rhythm really envelopes the listeners and brings them into the track itself.
